All 8 ports of the TL-SG1008MP support the Power over Ethernet (PoE+) standard (IEEE 802.3af/at), which can automatically detect and supply power to any device(s) compliant with the IEEE 802.3af/at standard(s). Electrical power is transmitted along with data in a single cable, allowing you to extend your network to places without electrical outlets and power devices such as wireless APs, cameras, and phones.
Prioritized Power Supply
Priority (Port 1 > Port 2 > Port 3 > Port 4 > Port 5 > Port 6 > Port 7 > Port 8): This function helps protect the system in case of power overload. For example, if ports 1, 2, 4, and 7 are each using 30W (maximum power per port is 30W, total system power is 120W), and an additional device is inserted into port 3 requiring 25W, the system will cut off power to port 7 to prevent switch overload. This means ports 1, 2, and 4 will use 30W each, port 3 will use 25W, while port 7 will receive no power as it has the lowest priority among the active ports.
